A talk with a friend got me thinking…
The more you know, the more you think—
Like back when we knew less, life seemed simpler – lighter somehow.
These days? New things I learned just bring more doubts.
Because with greater understanding comes hesitation,
And the weight of powerlessness.
When information floods in, tangled and mixed,
It gets harder to separate truth from noise,
Right from wrong,
What’s real from what’s just someone’s take.
Especially when you’re trying to keep things smooth—
To preserve relationships, avoid misunderstandings,
Even the kind that could break things for good.
No matter how you say it, what gets heard
Is never exactly what you meant.
Whether you soften the words, stay silent, or walk away,
The heart of it never quite lands right.
So maybe it’s better—
To stop chasing answers that don’t exist,
Or debates that never end.
Focus on what’s real:
The things that truly move you,
And the people who are actually here.
For most of us, that’s the only way to stay sane.
