Skipping School Today 😏

The fact that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all trace back to the same origin surprised me 😅 Did some quick after-school digging. Here’s my personal summary:

1️⃣ Judaism – The earliest of the three.

  • Follows the Old Testament (before Jesus).
  • Tends to be relatively exclusive.
  • Historically, Jesus was reported by Jewish authorities for “spreading and distorting” religious teachings.

2️⃣ Christianity – An umbrella term for faiths centered on Jesus.
Three main branches:

  • Catholicism – Evolved from Judaism, closely tied to Rome.
Believes ordinary people can communicate with God only through priests and the Pope, who holds central authority (Vatican today).
  • Eastern Orthodoxy – Split from Catholicism in 1054 (the Great Schism).
    Centered in Constantinople.
📖 Wikipedia mentions Putin is a follower.
  • Protestantism – Emerged from Martin Luther’s Reformation in 1517.
Breaks from rigid structures; believers can communicate directly with God without relying on priests or the Pope.
    More decentralized in worship.
💡 Partly a response to Catholic corruption—like heavy taxes and selling “indulgences.”

3️⃣ Islam

  • Recognizes Moses and Jesus as prophets, but considers Muhammad the final prophet.
  • The Qur’an holds supreme authority.
  • Practically: pray five times a day, gather on Fridays, and observe Ramadan (fasting from sunrise, no food or water—yes, even during P.E. 😂).

📌 P.S. This is just a simplified overview—some details are debated, but the general idea should hold up.
